MARS, LLC understands the importance of the data stored on a device and is committed to helping our customers protect that data during disposition. As part of our asset management process, all IT assets that have data-storing devices are flagged and can be triaged into a data destruction process at our customer's discretion.
We have a data secure room under video surveillance within our facility where data storing devices can be handled in one of the ways listed below:
MARS, LLC provides a hard drive wiping services that sanitize all of the data from a hard drive. Once a drive has been wiped, it can be remarketed by us or returned to our customer for reuse. Our drive sanitation services comply with NIST-800-88 data “PURGING” guidelines. If a drive fails and cannot be wiped it is immediately shredded in our secure facility. All customers will receive a Certificate of Compliance that lists whether the drive passed or failed the process.
MARS, LLC can shred any standard personal computer hard drive, laptop hard drive and solid state drive in our secure facility. All customers will receive a Certificate of Destruction that verifies the destruction of your data storing asset.
When needed, MARS, LLC can provide on-site hard drive shredding at your facility. This process can be monitored by you or a government witness of your organization to ensure your security protocols are met.
